What are the problems at Chelsea???
Problems, problems, and more problems have flooded Chelsea recently. A manager who was fired midseason again by BlueCo, a youthful team that lacks “experience” according to all the Chelsea shills on Reddit and X, and players that might not be that good.
These problems are rearing their ugly heads like a puss filled pimple on a teen going through puberty. Is there an answer to these problems, or are Chelsea just FUCKED?!?!?!?
MARESCA OUT ENTER LIAM ROSENIOR…
BlueCo, in typical not-knowing-what-they ‘re-doing fashion, decided to fire Enzo Maresca after a bad run of form in December. The topic of Maresca IN or Maresca OUT can be debated for hours, but the deed has been done, so it is what it is at this point.
Upon Maresca’s firing, BlueCo decided to promote from within and hired the uber-experienced Liam Rosenior from Strasbourg. This can also be debated for eternity about whether Rosenior is the right hire or the best hire, but again, it’s a moot point because BlueCo does what BlueCo wants.
This is not a debate about who is the better manager, but the problems that surround the firing of Maresca and the hiring of Rosenior.
When Maresca was fired, and to be honest, he did a lot of the damage himself, BlueCo immediately went on the front foot and started interviewing the best managers in the world… Nope, that’s not what happened. Why did this not happen?
1. BlueCo has so damaged the “CHELSEA” name that the top managers in the world no longer view Chelsea as a top job.
2. BlueCo only has one requirement for the manager of Chelsea, and that’s that they are a YES MAN!
Liam Rosenior is definitely an up-and-coming manager. He has the potential to be a top manager, but has not cut his teeth at a top job. Rosenior is happy to take on the role of Chelsea manager and get paid well to do a job that, even if he fails at, he will still laugh his way to the bank!
Rosenior is the definition of a company man. He is a yes man through and through, which is exactly who BlueCo wants leading Chelsea. They want a manager who will not push back on their poor signings or question their questionable squad building.
This is not a knock on Rosenior. Personally, I don’t mind him or his tactics. BUT it does not take away from the fact that he is a BlueCo man through and through, which is a problem.
DOES YOUTH EQUAL INEXPERIENCE?
Fans are constantly reminded by the “unbiased” pundits and the BlueCo propaganda arm that Chelsea has the youngest squad in the Premier League. While this statement is true, Chelsea’s average age is 23.4, BUT does youth equal inexperience?
The average might be 23.4 years, but the Chelsea squad is an experienced Premier League squad. Let’s take a look at the starting line-up for Chelsea’s depressing draw against Burnley:
GK- Robert Sanchez- 6 Years
RB- Reece James- 7 Years
CB- Chalobah- 6 Years
CB- Fofafa- 6 Years (Although he has been hurt quite a bit, he’s still experienced)
LB- Gusto- 3 Years
MID- Caicedo- 5 Years
MID- Enzo- 4 Years
MID- Santos- 0.5 Years
ATK- Cole Palmer- 3 Years
ATK- Joao Pedro- 5 Years
ATK- Pedro Neto- 7 Years
If you average the age of Chelsea’s starting line-up, it comes out to 4.7 YEARS!!!!!
This is a starting lineup with an average of almost 5 years of experience between them! These are not inexperienced players!!!!! The narrative that Chelsea is an inexperienced squad needs to end, and it should have ended over a year ago!!!
The argument can be made that the back-ups are not experienced. This argument would be fair with the likes of Estevao, Delap, Acheampong, and Hato, but there is also experience on the bench, with Tosin, Garnacho, and Badiashile.
The players are clearly experienced, so maybe the problem is the players.
DO THE PLAYERS JUST SUCK???
This is the topic no one wants to talk about. This is a hard topic to broach because you don’t want it to come off as player-bashing, but at the same time, you have to be realistic and honest.
Chelsea has maybe 7 or 8 players that should stay.
1. Cucurella (The best LB in the Premier League)
2. Reece James (The best RB in the Premier League)
3. Moises Caicedo (One of the best Midfielders in the WORLD)
4. Enzo Fernandez (A superstar in Midfield when playing a more advanced role)
5. Cole Palmer (Hasn’t been great lately, but yeah, he’s Cole Palmer)
6. Joao Pedro (A player who has proven he can score when not overworked)
7. Andrey Santos (Rosenior has shown us what he can do)
8. Estevao (A Generational Talent)
These are the only players that are Chelsea quality. The rest of the players can go, and it would be a net neutral to the overall squad.
This is a very average squad that is still missing many pieces after 3 years of BlueCo trying to reshape the squad in their image. The depth is just not there when Chelsea is competing in 4 different competitions (well, 3 now). Let me rephrase that, the QUALITY of depth is not there.
The defense is not good enough. Chelsea has a bunch of mid-tier centerbacks that are good role players, but should NEVER be starters in the Premier League!
The players lack any fight or passion. They fail to realize what it means to play for Chelsea Football Club. What it means to wear the badge. What it means to play in front of the greatest fans in the world in the greatest stadium in the world!!! These players do not see it as an honor to play for Chelsea, but rather, they collect their paychecks, get in their cars, and go home. Playing for Chelsea used to mean something…
So, if the coach is midtier (with potential), and the players are experienced midtier assholes, then what is the real problem at Chelsea?
THE REAL PROBLEM AT CHELSEA…
BlueCo they are the problem at Chelsea. The greedy bastards that sit in their suits week in and week out, sipping their coffee and thinking their shit doesn’t stink!
Eghbali, the directors of football, the board, and all the rest of the assholes are to blame for these problems. They believe they know what’s best for Chelsea and refuse to admit they actually have no clue what the hell they are doing!!!
BlueCo has sold Chelsea’s soul for a quick buck. There is no longer a winning mentality at Chelsea, but a mentality of greed!
This mentality has seeped down into every pore of the organization. This is why Chelsea is no longer attracting big-name coaches, and they have passionless players.
BlueCo has created an atmosphere of apathy at Chelsea. Fans are beginning to grow tired of the bullshit, and they want trophies. They want the players to care to show emotions and actually play a full 90 minutes of football!
Get rid of BlueCo, you get rid of the problems, but unfortunately, we have another seven years of this bullshit!
